Getting Here

If you are flying into Geneva ski at one of the Alpine skiing resorts close to Geneva-if not the closest. In under an hour you can be in Les Carroz, much nearer than the Chamonix ski region. You will be able to enjoy extensive skiing in the Grand Massif ski area with 280 km of well prepared and connected pistes.

Getting to Geneva

By Road
There is direct access to Les Carroz via the Autoroute Blanche motorway (A40), part of the European motorway network. Follow the A40 from Geneva towards Chamonix. Exit at direction Cluses centre, take the N205 direction Sallanches, take the left junction after 3km signed Les Carroz d'Araches/Flaine. Follow very bendy mountain road, passing through Araches and on up to Les Carroz. Just before the village centre take a sharp right turn signed Les Carroz l'Ouest by MGM immobilier/estate agent. Turn first left by Les Petit Oignons Restaurant. Pass the Sherpa supermarket on right. Follow road down hill bearing right (NOT left, which is signed "Les Carroz centre-Autres Directions"). At bottom of the hill straight ahead is a private drive with small signs saying "Chalet Cyclamen" and 215-Parking Prive. Le Souris Vert- the garderie- is behind the Chalet as you come down the hill, and a large telecom mast also to the right. The Chalet has ample private parking.

For self-catered guests in the summer normally the keys will be found in the Agora restaurant at the bar in an envelope with your name on. The Agora is right in the centre of town on the large island in the pyramid shaped building. Our local agent, Mary Lewis, can be contacted on 0033684511257. By Train
There is a railway station (SNCF) in the centre of Cluses. It links with the TGV (high speed French rail network) Paris - Annecy and directly Paris-Cluses at the weekends. A 20 minute

Getting from Geneva to Les Carroz

By Hire Car
This is a fast and easy way to get to Les Carroz and gives you flexibility for the rest of your holiday. All our Les Carroz apartments come with private parking. Our advice is to hire the car from the Swiss side, a little bit more expensive than the French side but far less hassle and if you hire from the French side there is an additional Swiss road tax charge of €30. This takes approximately 1hr.

Depending upon time of arrival we can collect up to 7 guests at a cost of 90€ for up to 4 people and 120€ for up to 7.

By Taxi
Taxis can be pre booked by the chalet at a preferential rate, making it a quick and convenient way to arrive in Les Carroz. The price will be approximately €120 for 4 people. They will drop you off directly at Chalet Cyclamen. This takes approximately 50min.

Getting around Les Carroz

By Bus
The buses to the ski lifts are free. During the high season the service is very frequent, every 10-15min. There is a bus stop conveniently located just past the Chalet drive. The bus stops are shown on the map.

By Car
There are free car parks at each of the major ski areas.
